Michele Pasotti - theorbo, lute, baroque guitar
There are few european stages and early music groups that have not yet met with the likes of Michele Pasotti: lute, theorbo, baroque guitar and other instruments have led him to perform with artists such as Claudio Abbado, Diego Fasolis, Giovanni Antonini, Andrea Marcon, Monica Huggett, Nathalie Stutzmann, Barthold Kujiken, Mario Brunello. He has played in such venues as Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Theatre des Champs-Elysées in Paris, Le Grands Concerts in Versailles, Konzerthaus in Vienna, Philharmonia in Warsaw and Krakow, Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Accademia di Santa Cecilia in Rome, Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa and La Fenice in Venice. He has collaborated with Il Giardino Armonico, Orchestra Mozart, I Barocchisti, Orfeo 55, I Solisti della Scala, Venice Baroque Orchestra, Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, Micrologus. He is founder and director of the late-medieval music ensemble “La Fonte Musica”.Born in 1977, Michele devoted many years in Italy and abroad to the detailed study of his instruments’ repertoire, along with studies in composition and a cum laude degree in philosophy.Michele contributes his experience to Brú, and includes the unmistakeable touch of an early music musician influenced by a background in rock and progressive music.
