Luciana Mancini - voice

Mezzosoprano Luciana Mancini received her Bachelor degrees both in Classical Singing and in Early Music Performance Practice at the Royal Conservatory of Den Haag in Holland.  

Luciana has sung under the direction of conductors such as René Jacobs, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Enrico Onofri, Pablo Heras-Casado, Neeme Järvi and Juanjo Mena. She collaborated with groups such as L'Arpeggiata, La Fenice, Lautten Compagney, Divino Sospiro, Orquesta Barroca de Sevilla, Ensemble Matheus and Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra among many others, performing in important venues and theaters around the world: Staatsoper Berlin, Theater an der Wien, Drottningholms Slottsteater, Carnegie Hall, Opera Comique, National Opera of the Netherlands and the Margravial Opera House in Bayreuth, to name a few.  

Born in Sweden with Chilean roots, her upbringing encompassed classical and folk music from all over the world, which from a very early age led her into the exploration of the different colors of vocal expression.

She has interpreted roles ranging from Monteverdi´s Messaggera (Orfeo) to Donizetti's Smeton (Anna Bolena), and composers spanning from Machaut to Piazzolla, constantly adapting to the different styles with great care and fascination.
